Thank you very, very much Derek, and all your great people during the year I was there. A couple of years latter, I’m still here, still alive, and even still at work five days a week. And, it’s somewhat mindboggling that I’m still here with my exceedingly unusual S4 melanoma that was not in my skin. Rather, the tumors were one in my left brain, and three in my left lung. It’s a very rare 1/1,000 case of melanoma called MUP (melanoma unknown primary). That’s the reason I was in Root Causes for about a year,…cause I knew I needed a lot of help, beyond just what my Fort Worth oncologist, my UTSW/Dallas melanomist, and my UTSW/Dallas brain doc (neurologist), and myself as a pretty experienced health coach, could do. I actually found y’all online being a health coach for myself. So, Kamee, my wife drove me down from our ranch, and hour northwest of downtown Fort Worth in southwestern Wise county, every Thursday evening, as soon as I got home from my downtown Fort Worth financial planning practice. So we’d head down to y’all in San Antonio at about 6:00 or so every Thurday evening, for about a year. We’d get into our hotel room a couple miles away from RCMC at 11:00PM-12:00PM, and see Root Causes promptly at 9:00AM Friday morning. And y’all would keep me in there doing lots of different treatments/exercises and oxygen tank, all day, until 6:00PM, when we’d head back home north to our Bar C Bar ranch. Bottom line,… between my primary doc, who quickly sent me to the Baylor/Plano ER where we found out I had a brain tumor, my cancer doc, my melanoma doc, my neurologist, and all the year or so of all day every Friday in the Root Causes Medical Clinic,… I’m amazingly still here.
